Elizabeth Walker Photography

Hi, I’m Elizabeth. For the past 13 years I have been lucky enough to earn my living as a photographer and I can honestly say that after all of this time, I love photography more now than ever. Photography has allowed me to document so many important moments and meet so many amazing people over the years.  

My love for photographing events began in the mid-nineties when I was working as a freelance photographer documenting fundraisers and galas in Pittsburgh. I worked for organizations such as Pittsburgh Citiparks, The National Society for Fundraising Executives, The Intestinal Disease Foundation and the Alzheimer’s Association to name a few. I also had the honor of documenting the National Veteran’s Wheelchair Games when they came to Pittsburgh in 1998.

I moved back to my home state of Michigan in early 2000 and was soon hired as a staff photographer by the University of Michigan Medical School where I continue to work today. My freelance clients in Michigan include Borders Group Incorporated, Michigan Blue Magazine, Goodwill Industries of Central Michigan and The Ella Sharp Museum of Art and History among others.

While I still continue to take on a variety of freelance assignments, I’ve turned by focus to weddings in recent years. I love working with my amazing couples. It’s truly an honor to be entrusted with documenting such an important day in their lives! Plus, I just love weddings! The beautiful flowers, the delicious cakes, people coming together from far and wide to be with those they love, they’re amazing events!   To be able to combine my love of weddings and my love for photography is a dream come true and I have an amazing staff of assistants to share the experience with.

So, that’s a bit about me. This blog is an opportunity to share what I’ve been up to as well as give my clients a sneak peek of their photos.
